Andrew Adamson brings the second delivery of Shrek. It is an exciting fantasy and comedy movie where the story of Fiona and Shrek continues.

The story moves to the kingdom of Far Far Away. The story begins with an interesting scene where Fiona and Shrek are invited to the family castle in Far Far Away. When they arrive, everybody is surprised by Shrek's appearance. Then, Fiona and Shrek have problems with their personalities and acceptance of the reality of themselves. Their marriage is in danger by the standards of the typical fairy tale. As the film going on, we can see how the main character´s relationship is harmed by the villain and, maybe, the best character in the movie: “the fairy godmother”. Who convinces Sherk to turn in a handsome man, claiming that Fiona doesn´t have to get married to an ogre. So Sherk decides to go in search of the position of true love which will turn him into what Fiona "needs", a human.

It has an exciting plot that makes you want more, accompanied by a soundtrack that will keep you on the edge of the seat. The characters are likable. They create an original and funny story. The plot has an interesting point of view where the Fairy Godmother that usually is good and helps the people in trouble, here she becomes the Villain giving us an interesting twist of rolls in the fairy tales. The end is fast-paced but is so adequate to the action of the moment.

After watching Shrek, it's hard to think of another movie that could be more fun, hilarious, or that challenges the concepts of "children's stories" the way the film does. However, the only thing better than Shrek is Shrek 2. We highly recommend it, because the movie is so funny that you don't realize when the 2 hours are up. If you are looking to spend a fun afternoon, either alone or with a company, this is your best option.
